This recipe calls for using fresh basil or large amounts of dried basil. If you absolutely must substitute dried basil, use one-third of the fresh amount called for. If you are substituting fresh for dried basil, you'll need to triple the amount of dried called for in the recipe. As with any recipe, feel free to modify it to meet the needs and tastes of your own family.
Meat With Chilli and Basil Ingredients
Undercut 275 gm
Basil 20 leaves + for garnishing
Worcestershire sauce 2 tbsp
Brown sugar 1 tbsp
Whole red chillies 2
Garlic 3 cloves (chopped)
Black pepper powder to taste
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Onion 1 (finely cut)
lemon juice as required
Salt to taste
Oil 3 tbsp
Meat With Chilli and Basil Cooking Directions
Heat oil in frying pan.
Fry basil till golden and crisp. Remove and put on absorbent paper.
Mix Worcestershire sauce, sugar and undercut in a bowl.
Set aside for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a pot and add red chillies, garlic, ginger and onion. Fry.
Add undercut and basil and fry more for 5 minutes.
Add salt, pepper and lemon juice and remove from flame.
Serve garnished with basil.
