Black forest cake has multiple (usually 4) layers of chocolate sponge cake, cherries,Black Forest Cake is a delicious dessert the whole family will love and because of cherries kids would fall for it whipped cream.
Black Forest Cake Ingredients
- Baking powder 1 tsp
- Cocoa powder 1 oz
- Butter 2 oz
- Flour 2, 1/2 oz
- Eggs 3
- Sugar 4 oz
- For Filling and Icing:
- Chocolate bar 200 gm
- Cherry 1 cup
- Icing sugar 1 cup
- Cream 3 cup
- Butter without salt 1, 1/2 cup
Black Forest Cake Cooking Directions

Melt butter and allow it to cool.

Sieve flour, cocoa powder and baking powder.

Beat eggs and sugar till thick and creamy.

Fold half the flour in the mixture and the remaining flour with melted butter.

Grease pan and pour the mixture in it.

Bake for 25-30 minutes in a pre-heated oven at 180°c.

For Filling and Icing: In a mixing bowl pour melted chocolate, icing sugar, cream and butter.

Whip it well until light and fluffy.

Refrigerate till ready to use.

Cut the cake into half horizontally, pour cherry syrup on it and then spread the prepared filling.

Top is with another layer of cake and spread the rest of the icing on it.

Garnish with cherries, whipped cream and grated chocolate.
