A chicken recipe flavored with crushed spices to get a passionate taste and texture. Madrasi Chicken Masala is a warming dish to serve.
Madrasi Chicken Masala Ingredients
- Chicken ½ kg
- Onion 2 (ground)
- Green chilies 2
- Butter 3 tbsp
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
- Fresh coriander 2 tbsp
- Vinegar 2 tbsp
- Tomato puree 1 cup
- Mustard seeds ½ tbsp (grinded)
- Poppy seeds 1 tbsp (grinded)
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp (roasted)
- Black cardamom 2
- Clove 4
- Whole black pepper 1 tsp
- Whole red chili 6
- Salt ½ tsp
- Oil 4 tbsp
- Sesame seeds paste 1 tbsp
Madrasi Chicken Masala Cooking Directions

First marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, salt and vinegar.

Now crush together cumin seeds, whole red chilies, mustard seeds, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, whole black pepper, cloves and black cardamom.

Marinated chicken with these crushed spices.

Heat oil and fry onions till its color turn to golden brown.

Now add marinated chicken and fry on high flame.

When water dry add tomato puree and green chilies.

Cook on medium flame for 10 minutes and turn the flame off.

Lastly add butter and chopped fresh coriander.
