Sour Lentils

Green bean lentils and red lentils are cooked together, grounded and then cooked with other ingredients and seasonings. Enjoy Sour lentils with rice.
Sour Lentils Ingredients
- Green bean lentil 1/2 cup
- Red lentils 1/2 cup
- Oil 2 tbsp
- Tomatoes (cut into fours) 2
- Curry leaves 10
- Hot water 1/2 cup
- Garlic (chopped) 2 cloves
- Salt to taste
- Ginger paste 1/2 tsp
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Onion (sliced) 1/2
- Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp
Sour Lentils Cooking Directions

Wash both lentils and put them to boil together in a pot.

Add salt to taste.

When they are about to boil, add onion and curry leaves.

Cook till lentils are tender.

Once fully cooked, grind them.

Heat oil in a frying pan.

Add cumin seeds and garlic and fry till they are slightly golden then add them to the lentils.

Add ginger, turmeric powder, salt, tomatoes and water. Let it cook.

When all the ingredients are well combined and lentils become thick, take off the flame.

Serve hot with rice.
