Beyhari Karee (Mutton Curry) Ingredients
Mutton 1 kg
Potato as required
Coconut milk 1 cup
Onion 2
Roasted chickpea 2 tbsp
Roasted peanut 2 tbsp
Coconut powder 6 tbsp
Tamarind pulp 4 tbsp
Whole dry coriander 2 tbsp
Cumin seed 1 tbsp
Whole spice 1 tbsp
Turmeric 1 tbsp
Sesame 1 tsp
Red chili 1 tsp
Cashew nut 12-14
Green chili 6
Curry leaves 4
Coriander 1 bunch
Mint 1 bunch
Whole spice powder a pinch
Salt to taste
Oil as required
Beyhari Karee (Mutton Curry) Cooking Directions
Roast cashew nut, peanuts, sesame, chickpea and onion. Grind them together and keep aside.
In another pan add whole dry coriander, coconut powder, cumin seed, and red chili, salt and roast. Grind them together and keep aside. Add little water if required to grind.
Heat oil in a pan and add curry leaves, whole spice, black pepper and roast lightly.
Then add potato to the pan and stir fry. Keep aside.
In a pan golden brown onion and add mutton, ginger garlic paste and braise.
When the color of meat changes, add water to make it tender.
Then add green chili, salt, turmeric, tamarind paste and mix well.
Add fries potato and grinded spices to the mutton, mix well and cook till mutton is fully done.
When oil appears on top, curry is ready.
Garnish and serve hot.
