Another delicious recipe of seasoned flat bread, Moong Dal Parathas. Cooked yellow lentils are stuffed in dough before rolling it. Moong Dal Parathas tastes best with crushed red chilli chutney.
Moong Dal Parathas Ingredients
- Yellow lentils (Moong dal) 1/2 kg
- Pomegranate seeds (crushed) 1 tsp
- Green coriander leaves
- Green chilli 1
- Ginger 1/2" piece
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- Coriander powder 1/2 tsp
- Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Wheat flour 3 cup
- Oil as needed
Moong Dal Parathas Cooking Directions

Put 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and chilli powder and 1 tbsp oil in the flour and make a dough.

In a vessel, heat 1 tsp oil, add ginger, green chillies, turmeric powder, coriander and chilli powder.

Add the lentils and put about 1, 1/2 cup of water and salt.

Cover and cook till the lentils are separated and tender and water has dried up.

Add pomegranate seeds in it.

Now make small balls of wheat flour and flatten them.

Put 1 tbsp cooked lentils in it, cover into a ball again.

Then roll like parathas and cook on a griddle, smearing it with oil frequently.
