Radha Ballavi is a Bengali/Assam bread. It is a form of very soft, fluffy, stuffed bread. Radha Ballavi rotis has a filling of cooked gram lentils.
Radha Ballavi Dal Roti Ingredients
- Gram lentils 1 kg
- Flour (maida) 1/2 kg
- Grind together:
- Cumin seed 1 tsp
- All spice 1 tsp
- Chilli powder 1 tsp
- Ginger 1 cm piece
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Radha Ballavi Dal Roti Cooking Directions

Knead the flour into a dough with enough oil, salt and water.

Boil the lentils with salt.

Mash completely into a dry paste and add the ground ginger.

Cover small balls of the lentils mixture with dough and roll carefully into rotis.

Fry on a griddle with oil, on both sides keeping the rotis soft.

Serve hot with chutney and raita.
