Fish is the healthiest form of meat and when steamed, it is just unbeatable. Enjoy this wonderful recipe of lightly fried fish steamed with yogurt, spices, onion and green chillies.
Dahi Fish (Steamed) Ingredients
Fish (either rohu, katla, or mugul) 1
Onions (sliced into thin rings) 3
Sugar 1 tsp
Curd 1 cup
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil as needed
For All Spice:
Bay leaf 1
Cinnamon 1" piece
Green cardamoms 2
Dahi Fish (Steamed) Cooking Directions
Clean and slice fish.
Lightly fry fish pieces in oil.
In the same oil, add the all spice.
Then lightly fry onion rings till light golden in color. Add fish.
Meanwhile, beat the curd with sugar, salt and turmeric powder.
Pour this mixture over fish and onions. Add green chillies.
Cover and put a weight over the cover.
Place the dish in a pan of boiling water and steam for 10-15 minutes on both sides.
